Science squad offers fun and interactive secondary school science workshops and shows. But these workshops are more than just fun. Be reassured that when designing the workshops and shows we build in the core science curriculum requirement of working scientifically. We strive to encourage the development of scientific attitudes, experimental skills and investigations as well as to develop student’s analytical and evaluative skills .\"science<\/p>\n

Science Squad Workshops and Shows:<\/h2>\n

Our Amazing Animals<\/strong>\u00a0secondary school science workshops for secondary school students can be adapted for different ages and groups. Whilst including key points from the\u00a0National Curriculum, t<\/a>he aim is to show each person that the animal kingdom is a wonderful topic to study.\u00a0<\/span>School booked<\/p>\n

Science Squad for the\u00a0KS4 topics<\/a>\u00a0such as\u00a0Ecosystems<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Evolution, inheritance and variation.\u00a0<\/em>Likewise, the visit also can complement\u00a0KS5 Biology subject<\/a>\u00a0topics such as\u00a0Biodiversity and\u00a0Ecosystems.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Our\u00a0 Cell! Cell! Cell! <\/strong>workshop uses 360 degree fulldome projection to tell and\u00a0story of the trillions of cells that form our bodies, from our beginnings as a \"chemistrysingle cell to the complexity of a whole body. Followed by work on our own DNA construction.<\/p>\n

Cool with Chemistry\u00a0<\/strong>help to combat many fears and see the beauty of chemistry for our young audiences.<\/p>\n

All aspects of the show delivered either in a classroom or communal areas such as a library or school hall. Notably, the session delivered by our knowledgeable and artistic presenters passionate about their topical science!\u00a0Each session offers an opportunity for learners to ask questions and to gain a deeper understanding of the topics.<\/p>\n

We can adapt a\u00a0show\u00a0for mainstream and special secondary schools to cover different ages and needs. It is also possible to include specific<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0topics to match the subjects your target year is working on. The shows are also very popular as extra curriculum activities for Y6 to Y7 transition days. Similar, we have visited assemblies and have been a popular activity during the enrichment days.<\/span><\/p>\n
